FEDERATION CUP QUARTERFINALS FOR THE REDS - JULY 8/9
Moturoa AFC is one of only 4 clubs in the entire Central Football region to have a side left in both the Men's and Women's Federation Cup quarterfinals.
The REDS have a proud history in the cup but the men have twice been runner up, having previously lost in the final in a penalty shoot out vs Hawera in 2015, and more recently falling 3-4 to a 94th minutes winner against Massey in 2021.
The lads will be looking to put in a solid home performance in order to advance to the semifinal stage when they host Whanganui Athletic, who disposed of NPR in the last round.
The Women's side have tasted success in this competition, being the most successful club in the cups history with 4 titles. Can they take a step toward number 5??
This week they travel south and will look to book a semifinal if they can dispatch premier side Hawera FC in the quarterfinals.
