WEEK 1 RESULTS
The REDS had a mixed bag of results in week 1 of the season.
The premier mens side led the RED attack with a very pleasing win over NPBHS and sit at the top of the pile via goal difference. Goals were shared about and the full squad did the mahi to get the treats.
The championship side let a lead slip to share the points with the NPBH reserve side. Charlie and Joe nabbed a goal each to open their season accounts.
New look div 1 and 3 sides battled hard against south Taranaki sides that will be aiming to be near the top of the table in their respective divisions. Two players scored their first senior goals for the club. Well done Jason Richardson and Kaiden Ross.
Sunday proved a frustrating time for the womens premier side as they could not put their chances away and left Hawera empty handed and will now have to chase down the league leaders over the next few weeks. Julie Withers got herself a brace, and no doubt scored the first womens goal of the season with a first minute strike.
